Professional Profile is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at your@professional-profile.com.
We collect the information you choose to give us, including:
We use your information to respond to enquiries, to create, publish and manage your professional profile, to take payment and manage renewals, and to provide ongoing support. Profile information is published openly on professional-profile.com by design, so that your profile is discoverable - this is the core purpose of the service.
Payments and annual renewals are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. When you pay, your card details are collected and processed securely by Stripe and are never stored on our systems; we retain only the information needed to manage your purchase and renewals, such as your name, email address, payment status and a Stripe reference.
Stripe is based in the United States, so making a payment involves a transfer of the necessary billing information outside the UK. Stripe processes this data under its own privacy policy and appropriate safeguards. If you embed our checkout, Stripe may set cookies to prevent fraud.
We process enquiry details on the basis of taking steps at your request, and we process and publish profile content on the basis of our agreement with you and your consent. You can withdraw consent and ask us to unpublish your profile at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. We may use trusted service providers (for example, hosting) to operate the site. Published profile content is, by its nature, publicly accessible and may be indexed by search engines and AI services.
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and for our legitimate business records, and we keep profile information for as long as your profile is published or as otherwise agreed with you. Payment and transaction records are kept for as long as required to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
This website keeps cookies to a minimum. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and its cookies are only set after you accept them via our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are placed. We do not run advertising cookies.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which will prompt the banner again.
We use Stripe (Stripe, Inc.) to process payments and manage renewals securely. We use Google Analytics (Google) for anonymised, aggregated usage statistics, loaded only with your consent; IP addresses are anonymised. Our fonts are self-hosted, so no font data is shared with third parties. Our partner links (Intervou, Discussli) take you to separate websites with their own privacy practices.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the data you share with us.
We may update this notice from time to time. The current version always appears on this page.
To ask a question or make a request about your data, email your@professional-profile.com.
